Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy in York and Online
Before any session, we talk. Fifteen minutes on the phone at a time that suits you. You tell me what's going on, and you don't need to have it in any sort of order. I've heard it every way round. I tell you how I'd work with it and what a session involves. Then we both decide.
If it's a yes, we book your Reset Session there and then. If it isn't, I'll say so, and I'll tell you who I'd go to instead. Nobody has ever been sold anything on this call, and nobody has ever been asked to fill in a form for it.
One focused session on one specific pattern. Around 90 minutes, in person in York or online.
It's for the thing with a date on it. The talk next month. The networking morning you've skipped four times. The decision you've been circling since the spring, or the conversation you keep not having with your manager or your sister. It's also for the things your body has talked you out of: the swim, the photograph, the changing room, the long drive.
We start by pinning the pattern down: where it turns up, what your body does, and what you say to yourself when it does. Then we work with it, using hypnosis and a couple of cognitive behavioural techniques you'll be able to do on your own afterwards, and we rehearse the situation going the way you'd like it to. You leave with something specific to practise before the real thing, and the real thing is usually less than a fortnight away, which is the point of doing it this way round.
People are often surprised by how ordinary it feels. You're awake, you're talking, and you're in charge of it throughout.
If the session opens something you'd like to keep working on, we talk about that at the end. There's no package and no pressure. Further sessions are booked one at a time, at the same price.

Booking is straightforward. Have the free call first. We agree a time on the call and I send you the link. Payment is taken when you book the session, and I ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to move it.
It's collaborative. I'm the guide, with the tools and the support. You do the actual work, by practising between sessions what we did in the room, until the new response is the one that turns up first.
You can stop and say anything at any point. If something doesn't work for you, tell me. There are a lot of ways to approach the same pattern and nothing works for everyone. And you can get in touch between sessions if you get stuck.
Hypnotherapy works alongside medical care, not instead of it. If you're being treated for anything, keep seeing your doctor.
Confidence Connection is one essay every Sunday evening for women who are capable and doubting themselves. Sign up and I'll send you the confidence developing audio straight away. Twelve minutes, somewhere quiet, before you've read a word. Nothing daily, nothing to keep up with.
If your question is about IBS, the gut-directed work and how to book a call about it lives at Mind Your Guts.
